Amirali Mohammadian was born in December 1992 and attained martyrdom on January 11, 2016. However, his sacred remains were discovered five years later and returned to his homeland. Martyr Defender of the Shrine, Amirali Mohammadian 🌷

🍁 His mother says: “He started memorizing Quranic verses at the age of five or six. Once I realized his talent, I enrolled him in the mosque’s Quran classes in our neighborhood. His only joy was going to the mosque. He would stay late, active in religious gatherings (Heyats). He participated in Ta’zieh (passion plays) performances, and because of his tall and sturdy stature, they used to give him the role of ‘Shemr’.”

🍁 “When the war in Syria began, he could find no peace. He believed he had learned the lesson of freedom in the school of Imam Hussain (AS).”

“When he faced my opposition to his departure for Syria, he said something that made me surrender. He asked: ‘Out of the three children God has blessed you with, do you not wish to sacrifice one for Lady Zeinab (SA)?’”

🍁 “Amirali’s only possession was a motorcycle, which he had bought with borrowed money. Before leaving, he instructed me: ‘If I don’t return, sell it to pay off my debts.’ On the back of his will, he had written a list of his debts.”

“He was always sensitive about public property (Bayt al-Mal). Even though I felt he owed nothing in this regard, he had set aside some money for it just to be cautious.”

🥀 “He hadn’t been in Syria long when, in March 2017, news of his martyrdom arrived. One of his friends described the scene to us: ‘When the enemy attacked and we each took cover, Amirali was shot in the leg and fell to the ground. We tried to help him, but he wouldn’t let us. He said: Go, I will catch up with you. But no one heard from him again.’” His mother continues: “Amirali loved Lady Fatima (SA) dearly and always used to say: ‘I wish to remain unknown (anonymous), just like Her!’”

🥀 Finally, five years after his martyrdom, the sacred remains of Amirali Mohammadian were discovered and identified, and in 2021, he was laid to rest in his symbolic burial place.

🌷🖋 Excerpt from the Martyr’s Will:

“Labbaik Ya Zeinab (SA). Thanks be to God that I am under the protection of Hussain; there is no better shelter in this world than this.

O Zeinab (SA), I have nothing to sacrifice for you except my unworthy life, which I hope will be sacrificed to defend your shrine.

We have gone to defend the shrine of Lady Zeinab (SA) so that we may not be ashamed before Hazrat Abbas (AS) in the afterlife.”

May his soul rest in peace and his memory be cherished.
